Making Money Online With Your Blog

The toughest part of this whole crazy IM business has got to be just getting started making money online. It’s kind of like when you run out of gas in a car and you are going to have to push it to safety. When you first start pushing, it seems like the car is going nowhere, like it will never move. But, with some persistence and hard work, it begins moving! The next thing you notice is that once it’s moving along, it doesn’t take near the same amount of effort to keep it moving (that’s the whole idea).

Making money online is no different. At first, like the out of gas car, it seems like it will never move. That’s where most new marketers fail. They want their business to be up and running, but can’t seem to get it started rolling in the right direction. It becomes very tempting to quit this business and scores of new marketers do just that - give up. Please don’t let this to happen to you.

Recently, I took advantage of Shannon Herod’s Blog With Success. Not only is there a 75 page .pdf, but also a video page with some 20 plus videos giving step-by-step instructions to properly set-up your WordPress blog. He also throws in a couple of bonus goodies you can use right away!

Personally, I had been a little intimidated by WordPress for some time. I felt like I needed to give it a try, but didn’t want a new distraction, if you know what I mean. You know how something new comes along, and hours and days go by playing with the new toy and no work gets done! But I was uncomfortable with WordPress, until I watched these videos.

If you follow his step-by-step instructions, he will show you how to properly optimize your blog for the search engines, manage your links and meta tags, add Adsense and many other plug-ins for a totally “tweaked out” WP blog. Shannon is a super laid back guy who makes the videos interesting and easy to follow.

This may not be right for you if you are experienced with WordPress and already have all your favorite plug-ins in place.
